example DID YOU KNOW that Brad Pitt never had enough time on set to eat properly which is why Rusty is eating in basically every scene?? It’s so perfect because it worked as such a great little character quirk but also it kept Brad Pitt alive

you know that shrimp cocktail he’s sucking down when Linus is giving him the lowdown on Terry and Tess walks down the stairs? Dude ended up eating 40 shrimps filming that scene. 40 SHRIMPS TO GET THE TAKE.

also ALSO in the scene with the wrestling match for Friday Fight Night you can see cast from the original Ocean’s Eleven filmed in 1960

MATT DAMON IN ANOTHER LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT CRIMINAL his pick pocketing was too good to actually be watched which is why they slowed it down the first time they show him doing it

there’s lots of scenes where the actors just kinda do their own thing cuz Soderbergh was like “I am not directing 11 of you all at once just go nuts”

The movie is blessed with the success of Austin Powers - Rusty’s doctor wig is a wig once used by Mike Meyers during auditions. The actual, same wig.

Also, Rusty’s whole dramatic shtick as the doctor was Brad making fun of George Clooney’s role in the show ER

AND there was a scene where they’re pretending to be the SWAT guys and Brad Pitt couldn’t be there for some reason so they just had someone else stand there in a SWAT uniform and recorded Rusty’s lines later

Play idea: perform MacBeth, but when the witches are doing their prophecy thing, they segue into telling the story of Hamlet. Hamlet is chatting with the ghost when it starts telling a Midsummer Night’s Dream. The audience becomes slowly aware that the programs and advertisements did not publish a runtime for the performance. Ushers start handing out new programs, with new actors’ names on them in previously unmentioned roles. Every single known Shakespeare play is nested inside the performance. The theatre doors are locked. 

At intermission they play one (1) It’s Not Unusual
